Your Cabin Crew interview is a crucial part of the application process and it’s important that it goes well! If you are successful during your Cabin Crew assessment day you will be invited to attend an interview at the end of the day. It’s essentially the last hurdle you need to cross in the application process, and if it goes well you are so much closer to securing the job!

In order to ensure that the interview goes well, you will need to answer the questions well. You need to make sure that you actually answer the question given to you and that you give good evidence to prove your answer. While answering the questions you need to keep in mind that the interviewer is looking for a candidate that matches what the airline is looking for.
Here are 10 example questions that you could potentially be asked during your interview
- Why do you want to be Cabin Crew for this airline?
- What can you bring to the company?
- What do you think your best/worst qualities are?
- Name a time you have been faced with a difficult customer and how did you deal with them?
- Why did you choose this airline? What do you know about the company?
- Can you give an example of a time when you provided excellent customer service?
- Are you a leader or a follower? Why?
- How important are rules and regulations
- What are your hobbies?
- What qualities do you think a member of Cabin Crew should have?

The perfect answer
During your interview, you should show that you have prepared and know about the airline you want to work for. You also need to prove you have the skills and qualities that the airline are looking for and you need to have examples at the ready to prove you have these skills. The interviewer will also be looking at how you present yourself, including how you respond and your body language. You therefore need to incorporate all of this into your answer.
If you were asked ‘Why do you want to be Cabin Crew for this airline?’, you should demonstrate that you have knowledge of the airline and the qualities they value. You should read up on the airline and the job specification to make sure you know what the airline is really looking for in their candidates. It is also important that you relate what they are looking for to yourself. Make sure you show that you have these qualities and give examples to back up what you are saying.
If you were asked ‘Name a time you have been faced with a difficult customer and how did you deal with them?’ you should have an example ready. You would need to give an example and then explain how you dealt with it in. Make sure when you talk about how you dealt with the situation you demonstrate your ability to use your initiative, work under stressful situations and that you were able to resolve the situation.

To make sure you are ready for your interview you should make sure you’re prepared. You need to make sure your knowledge of the airline is up to scratch and that you are ready for any question that could come up.
