This post provides details of becoming easyJet Cabin Crew.

Application Process

easyJet have a  careers website that includes information on the different roles available. This is where you can apply for a position. 

Before you apply, easyJet have an optional quiz with a set of 10 questions. After you have answered these you will receive feedback on your answers and will be told whether they think you would be suited to the job. The questions they ask are also useful for understanding what they are looking for in their Cabin Crew!

Under each job description, they detail the minimum requirements for the role. If you meet these minimum requirements, you can apply on the website by submitting an online application and uploading your CV.

After applying

You will then be sent a link to an ability test that assesses your reasoning, situational judgement, and workplace behaviour. easyJet will then get back to you within 72 hours to let you know the results. If you’re successful in the test, easyJet will then review your application. If they decide you meet their requirements, they will invite you to the next available Assessment Centre.

During an assessment day, you may be asked to give a presentation attempting to sell a product to your peers and participate in group exercises. There will also be a variety of different presentations that will give you more information on the role and life as easyJet Cabin Crew. During this day, they will be looking for candidates who are enthusiastic and passionate about working for easyJet and being Cabin Crew. At the end of the day, if you have done well you will then be asked to attend an interview. This post gives you some tips on how to pass your assessment day.  

Training

EasyJet training is carried out over 3 weeks and is designed to give you everything you need to know for the job. Before these 3 weeks of training, you are required to complete online pre-course work. Training will then take place at their Academy at London Luton Airport or at London Gatwick Aiport. They will provide you with a hotel if you’re going to be based somewhere else. 

The 3 weeks of training will involve studying, exams and practical demonstrations in one of their simulators. The training will be fast-paced and filled with loads of information, but it can also be a lot of fun and ultimately will be rewarding.

Working life

Since easyJet is a low-cost airline, flights are carried out across Europe and you’ll almost always finish your day back at your home base. They offer roster preferences, and you will have different schedules each week including a mix of early starts and late finishes.

EasyJet also offer the chance for Cabin Crew career progression after 12 months. For example, Cabin Crew can apply to be Cabin Managers after 12 months.

Salary

The base salary for easyJet crew is around £13,000, plus additional payments per flight. Crew will also get 10% commission of onboard sales which is divided between the operating crew. 

Accommodation

There is no need for accommodation being easyJet Cabin Crew. You will be based at a UK airport and be expected to have your own accommodation.
